Genuine Connection Promotions (PTY) LTD is a proudly South African clothing manufacturer, known as a trusted supplier for some of the world’s most iconic brands. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking team determined to adapt to market demands and deliver only the highest quality product and services.
What started with one man selling t-shirts from his car, has grown into a thriving local clothing factory now employing over 200 skilled team members. Under the current leadership of Janette Hilton-Gericke, our business has reached new heights and remains committed to chasing daily improvement. We are fully equipped to manage both large-scale B2B manufacturing and small customised orders. Beyond garment production, we are highly sought after for our inputs in garment design, product development and pattern-making.
As a family-owned business now entering its third generation, we are proud to carry forward the principles instilled by our founder – while still valuing the importance of embracing new technologies, skills and opportunities that keep us at the forefront of our industry.
OUR FOUNDER
Lionel Stevens Gericke grew up in Paarl, and matriculated at the age of 17 from HTS Drostdy Worcester in 1987. Known for his perfectionistic drive and unwavering commitment to excellence, Lionel was a hard-working man who never took “no” for an answer. He was devoted to the success of his business and displayed remarkable courage in expanding it when the opportunities arose. He founded Genuine Connection Promotions (PTY) LTD in 1995 from the ground up, and continued to build one of the biggest flagship clothing manufacturers in South Africa – until his sudden passing in 2017.
Without the foundations he built and systems he pioneered, Genuine Connection Promotions (PTY) LTD would not have reached the success it has throughout the years. Today, Lionel’s mentorship and legacy continue to guide our company and people.
