Our management team, led by owner Janette Hilton-Gericke, brings decades of experience to the clothing manufacturing sphere. Together with the team, Janette has propelled Genuine Connection Promotions to new heights, focusing on constant improvement and growth.
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company, with a clear vision of setting trends and evolving with the market. Our dedicated employees play a key role in maintaining the high standards we are known for, contributing their expertise and commitment to excellence in every project.

As a proud family-owned business, we now enter into the second generation, with Zoë Gericke who recently graduated as a Fashion Designer playing an active role in shaping the future of the business. This generational transition helps us maintain the values instilled by our founder, while still adapting to new opportunities, technologies and skillsets within the industry.
OUR FOUNDER
Lionel Gericke grew up in Paarl and matriculated from HTS Drostdy Worcester in 1987. Known for his perfectionistic drive and unwavering commitment to excellence, Lionel was a man who never took “no” for an answer and insisted on achieving 100% in everything he did. He founded Genuine Connection Promotions from the ground up, leaving behind one of the flagship clothing manufacturing factories in South Africa.
Although he was often perceived as strict and no-nonsense, Lionel earned the respect of both his employees and customers, building strong relationships through his dedication and high standards. He was devoted to the success of the business and displayed remarkable courage in expanding it when the opportunity arose.
A family man at heart, Lionel was married to Janette and devoted father to Bradd and Zoë. His passing in 2017 left a massive hole in our hearts, but his teachings and mentorship continue to guide us today. Without the foundation he laid and the lessons he imparted, Genuine Connection Promotions would not have achieved the success we enjoy today.
